Discord only outputs audio through the left channel when I select my controller as an output device. Every other output device works fine. The solution:. Download & install. Open Audio MIDI Setup from the Utilities folder (Applications Utilities Audio MIDI Setup). In the bottom left corner, click the +, and click “Create Multi-Output Device”. In Discord, go to Preferences Voice. For your output device, select “Multi-Output Device”. Now go to System Preferences Sound Output Multi-Output Device Voila! Now your Discord should be outputting stereo sound to your desired output device.
All other system sounds should function normally. I hope this helped anyone else out, now we wait until the Devs fix it for good. Until then, we have a solid work-around!
Drop a comment if you have any questions. Thanks for the message and the workaround, I tried soundflower previously however I haven't tried this mehtod before (with the Multi-Output Device option, I just tried switching everything to the 2channel option on Sounflower and it still didnt work).
